More than 1,600 volunteers, including Auxiliary members, Rady Children’s employees, friends, neighbors, firefighters, police officers, community groups, companies, schools and celebrities will sell the special Kids’ NewsDay edition of the U-T San Diego.

U-T Kids’ NewsDay covers the advances being made and lives being changed at Rady Children’s Hospital-San Diego. Now in its 24th year, this annual event is made possible through a special partnership of U-T San Diego, NBC 7 San Diego and Rady Children’s Hospital Auxiliary. Every dollar raised from the sale of the U-T Kids’ NewsDay provides funding that has a direct impact on patient care and community education.

All proceeds from the paper benefit Rady Children’s. In one day we can make the difference of a lifetime to the patients and families at Rady Children’s.

If you didn’t have the opportunity to purchase your paper, you can still make a difference by donating online and reading the virtual edition.

New this year: The first ever Kids’ NewsDay Writing Contest! “If I had ONE super power it would be…” Children in grades K-8 are eligible to enter and the winner will receive an iPad Mini and have their essay printed in the Kids’ NewsDay edition of the Union-Tribune!
